VOUS êtes frustré(e) de n’avoir pas pu vous exprimer sur le nouveau traité européen et vous ne voulez plus qu’un tel déni de démocratie se reproduise en Europe ? VOUS n’avez plus confiance dans les partis nationaux pour gérer l’Union européenne en VOTRE nom ? VOUS vous demandez comment être contre l’offre politique nationale actuelle sans pour autant soutenir des extrémismes sans projet constructif ?
L’instrument existe, c’est Newropeans, le premier vrai parti politique trans-européen(1), mais rien ne pourra se faire sans VOUS !
Si vous êtes prêt à vous retrousser les manches pour que Newropeans soit présent en France aux élections européennes de 2009 (2), sachez que du 9 février au 30 mars une vingtaine de réunions de travail vont s’organiser dans tout le pays destinées à créer les EQUIPES LOCALES DE CAMPAGNE. Objectif : 20 équipes locales de campagne opérationnelles en France à la fin mars.
Participez à l’une de ces réunions ou proposez-nous d’en organiser une dans votre ville.(3) La première sera organisée le 9 février à Nîmes avec David Carayol et Harald Greib.

Lieu : un café, par exemple.

„Just wasting time”: Franck Biancheri reacts to EU-summit compromise.
Once again, the EU summit confirms the EU leaders inability to prepare europe for its own future. It ends the German Presidency which –from the Berlin declaration in March up to the summit on the Constitutional Treaty – consisted in keeping the European citizens out of the political process.
„No surprise: Europe’s leaders are showing their inability to take any constructive decisions. With their failure to move Europe forward the EU leaders once again confirmed that they no longer represent the citizens interest in European affairs.”, says Newropeans’ president Franck Biancheri.

Newropeans / Le basi americane di difesa missilistica nel UE: Dove sono i difensori 
dell’interesse comune europeo all’interno dell’UE? - Comunicato stampa dell’8 giugno 2007.
Secondo Newropeans, la risposta è chiara: da nessuna parte! Né tra i leaders dell’Unione Europea né all’interno della Nato. La Commissione, il Consiglio e il Parlamento europeo non sono capaci di concepire e difendere l’interesse collettivo di 500 milioni di cittadini europei. I loro membri provengono tutti da partiti politici con una visione puramente nazionale che rimangono in silenzio ed inattivi di fronte alle provocazioni dell’amministrazione Bush. Per quanto riguarda la moribonda Nato da tempo non esercita più il suo ruolo.

This year 2007, and for the 20th birthday of the Erasmus programme, La Sorbonne is one of the 250 European universities and one of the 500 locations where Newropeans will go to meet Europeans. It was indeed at La Sorbonne more than 20 years ago, when Franck Biancheri and future Newropeans launched “Les Etats Généraux des Etudiants Européens” (EGEE) the first official European meeting of European students.

Dla Newropeans odpowiedź jest jasna: nikt. Ani Unia Europejska (UE), ani NATO. Komisja, Rada oraz Parlament Europejski wykazały swą niezdolność nie tylko do obrony wspólnych interesów 500 milionów Europejczyków, lecz nawet do ich jednoznacznego sformułowania. Unia jest zarządzana przez osoby mianowane przez swe partie polityczne, umiejące myśleć wyłącznie w kategoriach państwowych. Owi politycy biernie przyglądają się temu, jak ekipa Busha forsuje swe zamiary w Europie. Również sojusz NATO, będący obecnie tylko cieniem tego, czym był niegdyś, nie jest w stanie wypełniać postawionych przed sobą celów.
Przy tym wszystkim przeważająca większość obywateli Europy jest przeciwna temu, aby Waszyngton i Moskwa wyrównywały swe rachunki na naszym kontynencie. Nawet większość Polaków i Czechów, a więc mieszkańców tych państw, które bezpośrednio uczestniczą w budowie tarcz antyrakietowych, nie popiera tego projektu. A groźba, której owe instalacje mają “zapobiec”, jest tak samo realistyczna jak broń masowego rażenia u Saddama Huseina.
Newropeans reprezentuje następujące stanowisko: W dziedzinie polityki bezpieczeństwa i obronności żadne państwo członkowskie UE nie powinno posiadać prawa prowadzenia dwustronnego dialogu z Waszyngtonem lub Moskwą, bez uczestnictwa innych państw: wszelkie decyzje w zakresie polityki zagranicznej i obronności w stosunku do USA lub Rosji należy w przyszłości podejmować i realizować na szczeblu unijnym. W tym świetle rządy Polski i Czech nie powinny mieć uprawnień do podejmowania decyzji na własną rękę odnośnie budowy systemów rakietowych na swoim terytorium, bez konsultacji z resztą państw unijnych.
Nadszedł czas utworzenia nowego sojuszu à la NATO po naszej stronie Atlantyku, na filarze ogólnoeuropejskim. Sojusz taki powinien być podporządkowany Unii Europejskiej. W ten sposób kraje unijne miałyby możliwość wspólnego podejmowania i realizacji decyzji w zakresie obronności w wymiarze transatlantyckim. Wszelkie postanowienia, których skutki odczuwalne są także poza terytorium danego państwa członkowskiego, powinny być formułowane na szczeblu unijnym. Dotyczy to zarówno polityki zagranicznej, obronności, jak i innych dziedzin.
Jedynie niezależny i ogólnoeuropejski ruch oddolny, jakim jest Newropeans, jest zdolny do wiarygodnego i skutecznego reprezentowania interesów obywateli Europy oraz ich oczekiwań co do przyszłości, niezależności i wspólnego bezpieczeństwa.
Aby sprostać tym oczekiwaniom, Newropeans przystąpi do Wyborów Europejskich w 2009 roku na terytorium wszystkich 27 państw członkowskich. Nasza organizacja niedawno sformułowała projekt europejskiej polityki (auf Deutsch) zagranicznej, który będzie istotnym elementem programu wyborczego Newropeans w czerwcu 2009 r.

Where are the representatives of the European common interest within the EU ? According to Newropeans, the answer is clear: nowhere ! Neither among European Union leaders nor within NATO - Newropeans Press Release (08/06/2007).
The EU Commission, Council and Parliament are unable to shape up or represent the collective interest of 500 million European citizens! Their members all come from political parties with a narrow national vision. Thus they stay mute or inactive in the face of Bush administration’s provocations. As to moribund NATO, it no longer plays its role.
However, an overwhelming majority of citizens are opposed to letting Europe become the playground of Washington’s and Moscow ‘s battle of interests. However, a large majority of Poles and Czechs, the two countries directly concerned by hosting the US missile defence bases, are opposed to the project. However, the « threat » that the shield is meant to block, is as real as Saddam Hussein’s « mass destruction weapons » were.
According to Newropeans, it is now obvious that in the area of defence policy, no Member State should have the right to negotiate on its own in a bilateral dialogue with Washington or Moscow: all decisions made in the area of defence and foreign policies in relation with the US or Russia must be prepared and implemented at the EU level. Therefore it should not belong to the Czech or Polish government to decide on their own about whether they will host or not non-European missiles on their territory.
It is time to reorganise NATO and to create a European pillar of the Alliance, to be managed and run by the EU, where EU member states would prepare and define together their transatlantic-related decisions. Any decision reaching beyond one member-state’s territory must belong to the EU’s exclusive field of competence, in defence-related issues or in any other ones.
Only an independent trans-European political movement such as Newropeans can provide credible and workable answers to our aspirations in terms of future, independence and common security.
In response to these expectations, Newropeans will present candidates in the 27 EU member states to stand the 2009 European elections. Newropeans has recently adopted its international political programme for the EU, which constitutes a major component of its trans-European political offer in June 2009.

Chissà la faccia di Erasmo da Rotterdam, se sapesse cosa avviene nel suo nome: scambi di università, di città, di case, di letti. L’Europa forma finalmente nuovi europei. Senza convegni, cerimonie e dichiarazioni: è bastato aiutare i ragazzi a conoscersi.
Il progetto Erasmus compie vent’anni (1987-2007): ha già mobilitato un milione di studenti e oggi coinvolge 2.200 istituzioni universitarie in 31 Paesi. Come altre cose belle, deve guardarsi dalla retorica. Mettiamola così: sono i soldi meglio spesi dall’Unione Europea. Soldi - neanche molti - che hanno fornito ai giovani del continente stimoli, esperienze, conoscenze. E, soprattutto, un’epica.

Am Freitag, den 18. Mai, waren Franck Biancheri und mehrere Mitglieder der Newropeans einmal mehr an der Sorbonne, um über die Zukunft des ERASMUS-Programms zu diskutieren.
Tatsächlich war es an der Sorbonne, dass vor etwas mehr als 20 Jahren die Etats Généraux des Etudiants Euroéens (EGEE - Generalstände der Europäischen Studenten) auf Initiative von Franck Biancheri und zukünftiger Newropeans hin gegründet wurden und somit der erste Zusammenschluss europäischer Studenten entstand.

We’re looking for volunteers being Erasmus or ex Erasmus students, who would agree to tell their experience on one page, in their own language, and if possible to translate it in one of the four languages used by Newropeans Magazine, English, French, German or Spanish. im Moment Newropeans Magazine organisie wir gemeinsam eine Rubrik mit Erfahrungsberichten von Erasmusstudenten und solchen, die es mal waren. Das Newropeans Magazine will damit zum 20. Geburtstag von Erasmus beitragen.
Wir suchen also Freiwillige unter die mit Erasmus im Ausland sind oder waren und sich bereit erklären, auf einer Seite von ihren Erlebnissen zu erzählen in ihrer Muttersprache, wenn möglich übersetzt in eine der vier Sprachen des Newropeans Magazines (Englisch, Französisch, Deutsch oder Spanisch).

Auch wenn meine Zeit als Erasmus-Student nun schon einige Jahre her ist, möchte ich dennoch auf diesem Wege einige meiner Erfahrungen schildern um möglichst viele Europäer auf die großartigen Erfahrungen eines Erasmus-Austauschs aufmerksam zu machen.
Im Wintersemester 2003 lebte und studierte ich für vier Monate an der Universität von Växjö in Südschweden. Die Idee, mich für ein Auslandssemester innerhalb des Erasmus-Programms zu entscheiden, kam mir ziemlich spontan am Ende meines Grundstudiums. Ich wollte einfach mal raus aus dem bekannten Uni-Trott, wollte neue Leute kennenlernen, meine Sprachkenntnisse verbessern und nicht zuletzt auch tief in die Kultur eines europäischen Nachbarlandes eintauchen.
